He led Buddhist NGOs in Dhaka and represented Bangladesh in global Dhamma conferences—making lasting contributions in both spiritual reform and social development across the country.

Following the legacy of Rajguru Agnibansha Mahathera (1913–2008), PBSB continues its mission to promote Theravāda Buddhism in the hill regions of Bangladesh. As a representative at the historic Sixth Buddhist Council in Yangon (1956), Rajguru’s vision shaped PBSB into a leading spiritual and cultural institution in the country.

As the new year begins, PBSB spreads the timeless teachings of the Buddha: non-violence, compassion, and loving-kindness. From Narayanganj to the hill districts, we embrace these values and encourage everyone to begin the year with peace in heart and unity in spirit.

In celebration of the sacred Buddha Purnima, PBSB hosted a Dhamma competition that brought together participants from across the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The event was streamed live, drawing attention to Buddhist teachings and inspiring young minds to walk the path of peace, compassion, and mindfulness.

On May 16, 2025 (Friday), PBSB’s Rangamati municipal and sadar upazila branches organized a Dhamma competition in memory of the late Bimalashwa Dewan and Pingla Dewan. The event raised 500,000 BDT as a donation from their children, dedicated to education and community service. A meaningful tribute, promoting generosity and Dhamma values.
