Venerable Jnanashree Mahathera was a distinguished Theravāda Buddhist monk of Bangladesh who made remarkable contributions in both spiritual practice and social service. He was born on 18th November 1925 in Domkhali village, Chittagong. He was ordained as a novice monk in 1944 and received full ordination (Upasampadā) in 1949.......
Venerable Prajnananda Mahathera was a prominent monastic leader of the Parbatya Bhikkhu Sangha Bangladesh (PBSB) who served the community through his religious, organizational, and international contributions for many years. He served as the General Secretary of PBSB from 1978 to 1988 and later as its President from 2011 to 2014.

Venerable Saranangkar Mahathera (born: 16 August 1984) was born in Mundarsha, Hathazari. His birth name was Roni Barua. On 24 October 2004, he received novice ordination (pabbajja) as a monk and began his monastic life in January the following year at Paschim Adharmanik Sukhananda Vihara. He dedicated himself to deep spiritual practice and followed the strict ascetic path of Dhutanga (self-restraint and austere discipline)......


Venerable Prajna Bangsha Mahathera was born in 1950 in Jobra, Habiganj. Although he has connections with Chittagong, his childhood education and upbringing were centered here. He earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees in Bengali literature and an M.A. in Pali language from the Universities of Chittagong and Dhaka. He received monastic training in the Theravāda Buddhist Tradition at the Maharagama Siribodhi Training Center in Kolkata, Sri Lanka.
